Step 1 - Your Needs and Desires-

Step 1 - Your Needs and Desires-

Before your first meeting with NKB, we like for customers to accumulate a collection of notes, magazine pictures, and or sketches that will help you convey your needs and desires to us. In addition, take some current digital photos of your existing room and jot down a few quick dimensions of the room.

Step 2 - Your Free Consultation is Scheduled-

Step 2 - Your Free Consultation is Scheduled-

Once you have compiled your needs and desires, it is time to contact our office to schedule your free in showroom consultation. When you arrive your design assistant will give you a tour of the showroom and an overview of our product lines and displays. After your tour, the design consultant will review your information and discuss your ideas.  During the discussion numerous digital photos of our projects will be used to show you how your project could look.  All the information and digital photos will help both you and Naples Kitchen and Bath get an overall feel for your project.

Step 3 - Establish Your Budget-

Step 3 - Establish Your Budget-

After reviewing all of the infomation you have provided your design consultant, we will help establish an appropriate budget (estimate) for your project.  We specialize in kitchen and bath design and remodels, and our estimates are realistic based on the information from our meeting with you and past projects.

Step 4 - Designing Your Space-

Step 4 - Designing Your Space-

In order to produce an accurate proposal (a final cost for your project) we must design the space.  This design includes cabinet, electrical, plumbing, and framing considerations.  All the products used in your project must also be specified and their respective quantities factored into the design.  A detailed “scope of work” must be written to coincide with the design concept.  In order to complete this step, your design consultant will visit your home.  During this visit they will measure your space, take photos , and get more familiar with your family’s lifestyle and surroundings.  We may require a design retainer based on the size and complexity of the project which is later applied towards the overall contract.

Step 5 - Presentation and Written Scope of Work-

Step 5 - Presentation and Written Scope of Work-

After we visit your home, a presentation of your project is scheduled in our showroom.  This is normally two weeks after the consultant’s visit to your home.  At this presentation, there will be design drawings of your project, and specifically selected products that coordinate with the overall design.  In conjunction, there will be a written “scope of work” that describes in detail the work to be performed along with preliminary cost figures.  From there, we will modify the design, product selections, and scope of work in order to achieve both the desired look and target budget for your project. This refining typically takes one to four meetings after our initial presentation depending on the scope of the project. The details are too important to rush!

Step 6 - Contract Signing and Deposit-

Step 6 - Contract Signing and Deposit-

Once the design, product selection, and scope of work have been determined, a final contract document , specifically stating these items is produced.  At this time, a deposit is collected, all product is scheduled for ordering, and your project is assigned a projected date for installation.

Step 7 - Pre-Construction Meeting-

Step 7 - Pre-Construction Meeting-

Within a few weeks prior to the start of your project, our project manager and designer will meet with you at your home for a pre-construction meeting.  At this time, job site details such as: product delivery, home access, job site protection, and scheduling will be discussed.  This meeting also provides an opportunity for your project manager to see the jobsite and discuss any special needs or details prior to the commencement of your project.

Step 8 - Work Begins-

Step 8 - Work Begins-

This is the working phase of the project.  The length of this phase varies from a few days to a few months and is entirely dependent on the project complexity.  Throughout this phase, you will become very well acquainted with our personable in-house craftsmen.  You will also see your project manager and designer stob by at frequent intervals to assure all the details are carried out as planned.

Step 9 - Project Completion-

Step 9 - Project Completion-

During this phase of the project all the details and remaining items come together to complete the finished look.  At this time, increased job site visits and effective communication help bring the project to a close in a timely manner.

Step 10 - Final Job Site Review-

Step 10 - Final Job Site Review-

The final step in our process is for your designer to perform a final job site review to see that everything has turned out as planned and that you are completely satisfied with the outcome.  With your permission, we will take photos of your completed project to help inspire other homeowners that are just embarking down the remodeling road that the process is simple and enjoyable.
